Maintenance of the LeFu Laminator

2025-03-19 11:21:47

Do you maintain your LeFu laminating machine?

Many customers feel that it is not necessary to maintain the LeFu laminating machine when using it. Maintaining LeFu laminating machine can not only extend the service life of the machine but also ensure the quality of lamination. Let’s learn about the maintenance methods together.

Daily Cleaning

Body Cleaning: After use every day, you should use a clean soft cloth to wipe the body of the LeFu Laminator to remove dust and paper confetti on the surface. If too much debris accumulates, it may enter the machine, affecting the normal operation of the machine. For the edges and gaps of the machine, a small cleaning brush, such as a soft brush, can be used to clean carefully to prevent dust from accumulation.

Silicon Roller Cleaning: silicon roller is a key component of the LeFu Laminator. After each use, clean the glue residues and paper fibers on the surface of the silicon roller in time. You can use a special silicon roller cleaner to apply the detergent to the silicon roller, and then gently wipe it with a soft cloth. For more stubborn glue, you can soften it with a soft cloth soaked in warm water and then wipe it. However, be careful to avoid water entering the bearings and other parts inside the silicon roller to avoid damaging the silicon roller.

Heating Roller Cleaning: the heating roller may be stained with some plastic film residue during work. After the machine has cooled, use a clean cloth to dip in a small amount of alcohol and gently wipe the surface of the heating roller to remove these residues. Alcohol is volatile, can dry quickly, and can effectively dissolve plastic residues without causing damage to the heating rollers.

Regular Inspection and Maintenance

Mechanical Component Inspection: The mechanical transmission part of the LeFu Laminator should be inspected every week, such as chains, gears, etc. Check whether the chain is loose and whether the gear teeth are worn. If the chain is loose, the chain can be tightened appropriately by adjusting the tension device. For severely worn gears, they should be replaced in time to avoid affecting the transmission accuracy.

Check hether the various screws and nuts of the machine are tight. Because during machine operation, vibration may cause screws to loosen, which may cause dislocation of machine parts and affect the laminating quality.

Electrical System Inspection: Check regularly for damage to the wires and plugs of the LeFu Laminator. Broken wires may cause safety hazards such as short circuits. If you find that the wire has broken parts, you should use insulating tape to bandage or replace the wire.

Check whether the components in the electrical control box work normally, such as relays, contactors, etc. You can check the working status by observing whether the component’s indicator light is on normally or using professional detection tools.

Silicon Roller Pressure Inspection: Check the surface flatness of the silicon roller pressure about every month. If there are depressions or protrusions on the surface of the silicon roller pressure, it will cause uneven pressure during laminating and reduce the laminating quality. Tools such as a level can be used to assist in checking flatness.

Check the hardness of the silicon roller. As the time of use increases, the hardness of the rubber roller may change. If the rubber roller is too hard, it may not fit the film and paper well; if it is too soft, it may cause deformation. A hardness meter can be used for testing, and consider whether the silicon roller needs to be replaced according to actual conditions.

Lubrication Maintenance

Lubrication of Mechanical Transmission Components: lubricate the machine’s chains, gears and other transmission components every period of time (such as one month). Special mechanical lubricating oil can be used to drop the lubricating oil appropriately on the teeth of each joint of the chain and the gears. The lubricated chains and gears can reduce friction, reduce noise and extend service life.

Lubrication is also required for sliding parts such as the guide rails of the machine. Grease can be used to apply it evenly on the surface of the rail to ensure the slider slides smoothly.

Bearing Lubrication: Bearings for components such as rubber rollers and pressure rollers also need to be regularly lubricated. It is usually done every 3-6 months. A suitable amount of grease can be used to inject through the oil injection holes on the bearing seat. Grease can reduce wear inside the bearing and ensure the normal rotation of the rubber roller and pressure roller.

Environmental Maintenance

Placement Environment: The coating machine should be placed in a dry and well-ventilated environment. Avoid humid environments, as moisture may cause rust in the machine, especially the metal parts of the machine. If the ambient humidity is high, equipment can be used to reduce humidity.

Stay away from corrosive gases and liquids. For example, the coating machine cannot be placed near chemical substances such as strong acids to prevent these substances from corroding the parts of the machine.

Temperature Control: The temperature of the working environment of the coating machine should be kept within an appropriate range, which is generally recommended to be between 18-25C. Too high temperature may affect the performance of the glue and the quality of the plastic film. Too low temperature may lead to problems such as difficulty in starting the machine and hardening of the glue roller. If the ambient temperature cannot meet the requirements, you can consider using air conditioners and other equipment to adjust the temperature.
