LeFu Delivers Custom Large-Format Flatbed Applicators to European Signage Partner

Meeting Custom Requirements Where Others Stop

Zhengzhou MeFu CNC Equipment Co., Ltd. has completed a major shipment of flatbed applicators to a signage production company in Europe. The delivery included standard LF1732-B4 and LF1736-B4 models alongside a custom-built oversized unit tailored to the client’s specific production requirements — a machine size no other Chinese manufacturer currently offers.

The client, a mid-size signage manufacturer producing vehicle wraps and building facade graphics, approached LeFu after struggling to find equipment that could handle their oversized materials. Standard machines on the market max out at 1.6×3.2 meters, but this client regularly works with substrates exceeding those dimensions.

The Shipment: Standard Plus Custom

The delivery included three machines:

  • LF1732-B4 (1.6×3.0m) — Two units for the client’s standard production line, handling routine lamination of vinyl graphics and digitally printed materials
  • LF1736-B4 (1.6×3.2m) — One unit for larger format jobs requiring extra working area
  • Custom Oversized Flatbed Applicator — Built to the client’s specification of 1.6×5.0m, a dimension that no other domestic manufacturer produces

This is precisely where LeFu stands apart from the competition. While other manufacturers stop at standard catalog dimensions, LeFu’s engineering team designs and builds flatbed applicators to whatever size the customer needs. Whether it’s an extra 20 centimeters in width or double the standard length, the factory floor in Zhengzhou can accommodate the request.

Why Custom Size Matters in Real Production

Large-format signage applications aren’t getting smaller. Building wraps, fleet graphics, exhibition backdrops, and stadium banner installations all demand material widths and lengths that push beyond standard equipment limits. When a sign shop has to piece together multiple laminated sections because their machine isn’t wide enough, they lose production time, waste overlap material, and create visible seams that clients notice.

A custom-sized flatbed applicator eliminates these problems entirely. One pass, one clean lamination, one seamless finished product. The European client reported that the custom 1.8×4.0m unit would cut their production time on building wraps by roughly 40%, since full panels could be processed in a single run rather than split across multiple passes.

Manufacturing Capability Behind the Promise

LeFu’s 17,300m² facility in Zhengzhou is specifically set up for this type of custom fabrication. The production line isn’t constrained to catalog sizes — CNC machining centers, welding fixtures, and assembly bays can all be reconfigured for non-standard frame dimensions. Quality control processes remain identical whether the machine is standard or custom: precision calibration, vacuum system testing, and full operational run-throughs before packaging and shipping.

With exports to 86 countries and annual sales exceeding 120 million RMB, LeFu has built the logistics infrastructure to ship oversized equipment globally. The custom unit in this shipment required specialized crating, yet the delivery timeline stayed within the agreed window.

Looking Forward

The signage industry’s movement toward larger format work shows no sign of slowing. As digital printing technology pushes wider and clients demand bigger installations, the need for equipment that can genuinely handle those dimensions grows alongside it.

LeFu will continue investing in custom manufacturing capability — because that’s where real value lives. Not in building the same machine everyone else builds, but in delivering what others can’t.
