LF1700-D2 Double Sides 120C Hot and Cold Laminator

2023-10-20 11:34:35

The LF1700-D2 Double Sides 120C Hot and Cold Laminator is a type of laminating machine that is capable of both hot and cold laminating. This means it can apply laminating film using either heat (hot lamination) or without heat (cold lamination), depending on the specific requirements of the laminating job. Here’s how it works:

LF1700-D2 Auto Laminator (28 m/min)
Model: LF1700-D2 Automatic Roll Laminator
Rear Trimmer: 3 Pcs
Max Lamination Width: 1630mm/64″
Lamination Temp: 0~60°C/0~140°F (0~120°C/0~248°F Optional)
Max Lamination Speed: 28 M/Minute
Roller Up and Down: Pneumatic Pressure

Hot Lamination:

Heat Activation: In hot lamination mode, the machine activates its heating elements, which warm up one or more rollers.

Film and Material Alignment: The document or item to be laminated, along with the laminating film, is fed into the machine. The film is placed on one side of the item, and they both pass through the heated rollers.

Adhesive Activation: The heat from the rollers activates the adhesive layer of the laminating film. This adhesive bonds the film to the document or item, providing a strong and durable finish.

Pressure Application: The machine applies pressure to ensure proper adhesion and smoothness of the laminated surface.

Cold Lamination:

No Heat: In cold lamination mode, the machine does not activate its heating elements. It operates at room temperature.

Film and Material Alignment: Like in hot lamination, the document or item and the laminating film are fed into the machine. However, in this case, the film does not get heated.

Adhesive Activation: The adhesive on the laminating film is pressure-activated rather than heat-activated. The machine applies pressure to ensure that the adhesive bonds effectively with the document or item.

The choice between hot and cold lamination depends on the type of materials you are working with and the desired result:

Hot Lamination is typically used for materials that are heat-resistant and can withstand the lamination temperature. It provides a very strong bond and is suitable for items that may be exposed to heat or UV light.

Cold Lamination is used for materials that are sensitive to heat, such as inkjet-printed documents, photos, or heat-sensitive materials. It is a more gentle process that doesn’t expose the items to high temperatures.

The LF1700-D2 Double Sides 120C Hot and Cold Laminator provides the flexibility to choose between these two modes, making it versatile for various laminating applications.
